The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights visited Vámosszabadi Reception Centre

Dr. Ákos Kozma and his colleagues paid an official visit to the Vámosszabadi Reception Centre of the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing (NDGAP) on 09 October 2024. The Ombudsman was received by Pol. Brig. Gen. dr. Sándor Gömbös, Director General, Pol. Brig. Gen. Tamás Farsang, Deputy Director General for Economic Affairs and Human Resources and Pol. Col. dr. Csaba Borsa, Director of the West Transdanubia Regional Directorate.

A working meeting was held to review the aliens policing and asylum procedures of the NDGAP with particular attention to the situation of unaccompanied minors, the accommodation of other vulnerable groups and possibilities for further cooperation.

Afterwards, the visiting group viewed the facility.
